In the late 1970s, Elkomy Holding was founded by Ibrahim Elkomy and started its currency exchange agency. In 1995, Ibrahim Elkomy decided to start another professional business by opening the Suez Iron Industries company (Elkomy Steel) at Suez Industrial Zone.
This family business of Elkomy Holding through the Suez Steel Industries Company (Elkomy Steel) was a major force supporting the iron and steel industry in Egypt.
